Okay, an update: the female vocals went from about 30 min to 40 min and then the CD decided to get back on track. Sounds nice again, but I have to wonder why they put that bit in.

'Light of Day, Day of Darkness' by Green Carnation. I love how effortlessly atmospheric this is. Maybe I'm just busy working on something else so the atmosphere sucks me in a little better, but it's working nicely now. It seems not to feel the need to be immensely techy, but that assumption is entirely accurate.

'Kusanagi' by Persefone. One of their best songs, maybe my favorite.

Agreed, Florence is probably better since it has the Uffizi. Still, the Borghese gallery/garden was very nice, as was the Vatican museum - a lot of good sculpture.

I'd heard Federal Boob Inspectors, myself. I encourage you to do your own research if you're interested in the US. I'd read de Tocqueville and find out what the Leontief paradox is, and I could recommend a couple of other readings about the nation from my US Foreign Policy class. The US is a divisive and controversial subject that lures morons like a mosquito lamp, so avoid the internet in general as well as anything with a stupidly damning/glowing title. If I'm a trendsetter this country is going to start a tariff-free boerewors importation scheme sometime soon.
