  1. Yeah, same here...I probably could have become a manager at McDonald's but I've seen the crap they had to do every week. Not worth a $1/hr pay raise in my book.
  2. 'Neurotically Wired' by Arch/Matheos. Muh, this is competent and well-done but not particularly engaging.
  3. To be honest, I was a bit confused. First Hitler and now Satan...
  4. Well, he's directly responsible for the creation of the song 'Tonight, Tonight' by Hot Chelle Rae. I can't think of any explanation as to how a song like that could become a hit, other than that Satan himself oversaw its development and worked to ensure its success.
  5. 'Would It Be The Same?' by Conception. I like this band so far. Their sense of groove is great and they can be fairly creative when they want to be. Pity Khan left these guys to make Kamelot.
  6. You can't lie to me! I know Dutch people turn pink in the sun! Um...also it's my hill, by a convenient twist of fate.
  7. 'Absolute Zero' by Ark. This is fun!
  8. Please, this isn't institutional. It's grassroots hatred!
  9. The ability to draw supporters is not a reliable indication of genius. If that were the case I'd have to call Black Veil Brides geniuses. That said, Robert Mugabe is far more of a genius than any of the examples you've listed, given that he's stayed in power for almost 30 years now and still has a substantial support base even after having run his country into the ground. Furthermore, empires tend to crumble from over-extension and incompetence, not the mere fact of executive power.
  10. 'Burn The Sun' by Ark. Traaaayehn! -te buuurn the suhuhun
  11. Har, I like some of Raubtier. I wish Sabaton would do a cover of 'Sveriges Elit' or 'Lat Napalmen Regna' since those songs would actually suit their sound.
  12. 'The Four Symptoms' by Animations. Wow, I haven't even really minded the acoustic/softer passages on this album, maybe because there aren't vocals? In any case, it could also be because I know it'll be instrumental so I expect this stuff more. Still, the heavy bits are great!
  13. Finally I am caught up with the foreign policy backlog, for the most part.
  14. Yes it is. Aletheian did an awesome cover of that song too.
  15. '911' by Animations. Eastern European metal isn't always good, but when it's good it's very very good. This Polish band's material has been thoroughly engaging and very strong (with the exception of their latest album, which is mortally wounded by the awful harsh vocals and their inexplicable assumption of the heavy, overly ornate cross of djent stylings) even when it's instrumental, which is very rare for me. When they do just straight clean vocals and honest to goodness prog, these guys excel!
  16. Not against Germany; the US' decision to attack Germany came later. It wasn't exactly a direct result of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Actually, it was Germany who decided to attack the United States (although the US replied with a reciprocal declaration of war), as a result of alleged breaches in neutrality by the United States with regards to German shipping.
  17. Well, it's not a theme I took to be normal in the realm of doom. Then again, Khanate is doom and they're the closest thing to torture I've ever heard.
