  1. Rebirth of Nefast - "Only Death" Not bad for a freebie on bandcamp.
  2. Didn't really do anything for me that. Too flitty in pace.
  3. Congrats BAN - best wishes to the three of you.
  4. Love this thread is in Deep and Meaningful and is Do You Like Nu-Metal, yes or no! Intense man, real intense.
  5. Although they have become a shadow of their former selves Metallica's contribution to thrash metal with the run of 4 great albums from the debut through to "And Justice.." is of massive importance. Although everybody bangs on about "Master Of Puppets" (and it is good) they never topped "And Justice.." for me - even minus any bass in the mix! I heard the black album and recognised some decent riffs but not much else - I knew it was only going to go downhill from there so I haven't bothered since. Listen to the raw fury of "Kill em all" and the maturity they were already showing by "Ride The Lightning" (both musically and in that brilliant album artwork) before they ever got technical. Their pre black album works are enough to earn them a permanent place in the big 4 (which is just a massive commercial spin anyway).
  6. Darkthrone - A Blaze In The Northern Sky
  7. Grabbed "Spiritual Genocide" by Destruction on CD because I saw it on the cheap. Turns out it's a limited edition with 2 bonus tracks and a hardback book style cover. Also has a 30 years of German thrash patch which I will not be wearing because it is not 1986 and i am not 13!
  8. Amon Amarth - Twilight Of The Thunder God
  9. Demolition Hammer - "Epidemic Of Violence"
  10. Just given "Spectrum Of Death" a spin and I fucking love it. Next up on my purchase list methinks.
  11. Arvas - "Blessed From Below...Ad Sathanas Noctum"
  12. What's you favourite Judas Priest album?
  13. Oh this is awkward - first time in ages I have entered this thread and I actually hate Converge so I am sitting this one out.
  14. Ritual Chamber - Pit Of Tentacled Screams
  15. Motorhead Classic Album Selection - rarely bother with Motorhead and had no logical reason not to so picked this up in HMV over the weekend. Standout album is "No Sleep Til Hammersmith" which is odd considering I don't usually get along well with live albums. Also picked up a crackin book in "Fade To Black - Hard Rock Cover Art of the Vinyl Age" by Martin Popoff with Ioannis. Some killer covers in this and I am like a kid in a record store back in the late 80's/early 90's again everytime I turn a page.
  16. Got completely hammered last night with my mates in the pub. Pints of Greene King, Wainwrights and Lancaster Bomber kept coming as well as a couple of Newcastle Browns. Having to have some hair of the dog now.
