  1. 'Nearer My God To Thee (for 9 cellos)' by the Piano Guys. I'm glad you like them!
  2. I'd prefer a '68 400 HO, it had performance to beat a Hemi and good looks too.
  3. 'Enter The Metal World' by Battle Beast. Fun and hilariously cheesy.
  4. 'World of Madness' by Spheric Universe Experience.
  5. 'Neptune's Revenge' by Spheric Universe Experience. Giving 'Anima' another go, I remember really liking these guys when I first heard them. I sort of wrote them off after the embarrassingly bad 'The New Eve' album but I'm enjoying this album so far.
  6. 'Room 4 - Fragments' by Dreyelands. Well-executed melodic prog with some interesting varied elements here and there to keep it perpetually engaging.
  7. Well, to provide a serious response: I love 'Undeceived' by Extol, which seems to have been a once-off symphonic/progressive black metal album that was absolutely superb. 'Shin-Ken' by Persefone might also fall into this category, it was their regular sound interlaced with some magnificent East Asian musical touches and (like Undeceived, actually) is my favorite album from them. The same goes for the oddly jazzy and spacey 'Imaginary Soniscape' by Sigh, and the similarly jazz-influenced 'Equivoke' by the late Russian tech-death masters Hieronymus Bosch. British understatement is a lie...
  8. Joyeuse Pâques! This is a special time, when we commemorate the death and resurrection of Christ and his transformation into a giant sapient lagomorph who every year graces the faithful with pastel-hued swag in baskets. In all seriousness, I wish this holiday augured more enthusiasm. It's only the celebration of the single most important part of Christianity, you'd think people would be a bit happier when it rolls around.
  9. I did notice that. By the way, BAN, you might want to check out what I'm listening to just now, 'Premonitions' by Archetype. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, but I get the impression you might like it as well. It's some US prog/power but in a fairly taut style I think might appeal to you a lot more than most of the stuff I like.
  10. 'Close To You' by DGM. This album has essentially been great throughout, maybe one or two weak moments. Otherwise, it's been exactly the kind of melodic, dynamic prog I've come to expect from them.
  11. Crap, you're right...I need to change that. Pleasuredome was fine in my opinion, but the album after is just kind of a weird thingy that I didn't get at all.
  12. 'Unkept Promises' by DGM. The synecdochic paradigm of 'melodic intensity' applied to their repertoire possesses an indicative utility, but partially discredits the myriad strata evidenced throughout.
  13. 'Shapeshifter' by Cloudscape. Been a long time, probably years, since I even considered listening to these guys, but I'm glad to say I was very interested by some material from this album and elected to check it out. So far I'm being rewarded. It's very energetic and emotional stuff that puts me in mind of DGM and that's always good.
  14. 'Spill' by Lethargy. Ironically, a fairly dynamic and energetic band.
  15. I still do not see how you will be able to 'hook' the general public by playing what everyone else is playing and has been playing for at least a decade. Do you believe that the legion of classic metal/rock stations are still insufficient to meet the demands of the listening public?
  16. Happy anniversary and congratulations to the both of you.
  17. 'Inside Your Dreams' by Archetype. Excellent US prog/power, with an interesting combination of the majestic pomp and energy of older power metal, and the technical ability, odd rhythms and chord progressions of progressive metal.
  18. Whoa, wait for Sacagawea and Mr. Clark before you strike out to the frontier, Meriweather...
