Firstly I'm really sorry about your cat passing, I was devastated when my cat passed. Music always helps me also with my anxiety and sometimes bleak obsessive thoughts. It's weird like I can feel it coming but I can't stop it and it's exhausting but I just have to ride it but anyway, the answer is yes, music (just so happens it is usually bm or sometimes classical) always helps to take me some place better emotionally and where I can identify.

I always liked 'Heartwork'. Carcass were one of the first bands I got into, my curiosity piqued from their logo painted on a friends jacket. I still often have 'Necroticism' blasting in the car, they know when I've arrived at work and yep 'Scream Bloody Gore' is always a delight.
