  1. My friend and I were talking and he said someone had told him that there was a porn version of The Room. He said he asked how it was different.
  2. "You know, I have a cozy spot that's only a short stroll from here. I've some mulled wine in the cellar, if that sounds like your sort of poison...I sleep well, but it's always a little chilly..." *diverts her eyes for a pensive yet elegant stare punctuated by a brief detached smile* as opposed to "Why doncha park ur rig in mah station, baybeh?" *nicotine-laced cackle*
  3. What, were you expecting a slender, charming coiffured dame in a scarlet evening gown to subtly proposition you in Transatlantic English?
  4. What the hell? It looks cool, the grill in particular, but it does look just a little bit like it was designed by a 10-year-old.
  5. 'In the Wake Of the Weary' by Evergrey. A little bit slow but still enjoyable.
  6. Persuader's 'The Fiction Maze' all the way through. It seems a little insipid at points, lacking the punch of Evolution Purgatory or the melodies of When Eden Burns. It still sounds good so far but I could skip a few tracks.
  7. 'Staring At the Sun' by Threshold.
  8. Nah, I do think you have a point. My guess is, secure men are either confirmed bachelors, 'players' or married men. They aren't scared of being chewed out or mocked, frustrated by their inability to find someone they like, disappointed by their own shortcomings, doubtful about their preferences, listless in their outlook, indolent in their actions, pessimistic about any potential opportunity, instantly rendered mopey, self-centered and miserable by the mere mention of romance, or just generally inclined to give up the ghost altogether.
  9. That's interesting because I have heard from some folks that the original anime is better if you're someone who likes anime, but that the second is better if you liked the manga. However, most of the people I meet prefer the second and from a visual and plot perspective I have to agree.
  10. That's nice of you two, but are other people going to get the joke?
  11. No, I haven't - and yes, Aftermath makes up for their dull first album. I remember being caught completely off-guard by how good it was, I was just going to listen to the old stuff and see if it had grown on me at all. Actually, I may have been about to write them off as a pretty dull, bog-standard melodic symphonic power metal outing, but that album changed my opinion entirely.
  12. I was fiddling around with light and saturation on my webcam and my brother took a photo, using it to make this...
  13. 'Kingdom' by Harmony. Still my favorite band, I think...they're having to share space with Redemption and Unexpect.
  14. Some Polish prog of my own, 'Sonic Maze' by Animations.
  15. Well, we didn't get any 666 jokes for this thread, but darn if I don't mention 777.
  16. I've has a bit of trouble with a paper recently, I will make sure not to procrastinate that much again. It's not as bad as I thought, but I'm fully expecting to get whacked. Not my best work.
  17. He doesn't really bug me...and as for the ADHD thing maybe that's true. I do like Unexpect, after all. My main complaint with them is that they don't seem particularly keen on the funk metal thing even though it could work for them. I can't say I know any metal group specifically doing funk even on just one album. Besides, I don't see how you could possibly put him as most annoying when that guy from Coheed and Cambria exists...
  18. 900? I imagine that most of that would be taken up merely with the citations...
  19. 2000 words? Eesh. That's not a whole lot in any case.
  20. I think Sagas is probably their best, it's also about as creative as Erdentempel. Turis Fratyr and Rekreatur are less varied but are still pretty good overall. Uns'rer Floten Klang was absolutely wonderful, I'd say it meets the level of Blut Im Auge.
  21. System of a Down, actually...they don't seem half bad. BYOB is a genuinely entertaining song, reminds me of Ram-Zet and SYL.
