'Sons Of Winter and Stars' by Wintersun. Listening through this much-touted 'Time I' album and I can finally see what all the hype was about. Very grand, expansive, powerful and fairly intense prog/black/power metal. I hope the rest of the album is this good.

'Passion Proof Power' by Ensiferum. Interesting piece of work and an odd album overall. I probably won't go out and buy it, but it's better than I thought.

My friend thinks Karl Urban's performance in Dredd should have qualified him for Batman. I think John Cusack could make an excellent Batman as well.

She can be good when she's bloody trying, but on their latest album Del Adel is awful. Then again everything about 'The Unforgiven' is awful, right down to th title and the half-assed Underworld ripoff of a story. As it stands right now Delain's the only gothic metal band that I think has any substantial musical credibility left to their name with which to grace future releases.
