A pretty cool little comp curated by none other than Lars Ulrich and well regarded metal Geoff Barton who founded Kerrang and helped popularise NWOBHM whilst at Sounds.

 

That is the only early Testament album I can't get into.  The sound is horrid and song writing is really poor.  There's nothing memorable on it.  Band even admitted it was churned out quickly for touring purposes.

the e.p. title is ahnenerbe. i figured i'd clarify the title. since the "a" looks like a u in the font for some reason

municipal waste's "wrong answer" is a pretty good beginner tune riff wise in my opinion. it was the first thrash song i learned on guitar and did so by ear. it's pretty much all power chords and muted open notes. i can't do the solos. but then again, i'm not much of a lead guitarist. rhythm is more my area

the plague is very underrated release of their's in my opinion. the track about vince neil is hilarious

they did a little bit during the super early days of the band, but they ditched that image pretty early on
