a metal song that really touches me is "floods" by pantera. i first listened to the song at a time when i was going through stuff and the lyrics and groove just spoke to me. "cold hearted world" says it all. isn't that the truth so many times in life? i especially love the guitar outro. so eerie, depressive and cavernous. it fits with the song's theme so well. a very underrated dimebag lick

"cosmic keys to my creations and times" is for sure one of my favorites when it comes to intro riffs. so eerie. especially with it being complimented by the atmospheric keyboard in the background
