Sadly enough my start in metal was from bands like Motley Crue. Hearing Too Fast For Love when it came out started the journey but I quickly jumped to harder stuff like Exodus and really didn't look back from there.

For me the stands out this year have been

Flotsam & Jetsam - Blood In The Water

Nekromantheon - The Visions of Trismegistos

and Evile - Hell Unleashed.

whether any or all become AOTY I don't know yet.
