"Watching From A Distance" by Warning. Aside from the really drawn out singing and slow pace of the songs, it's the lyrics that do it for me. Patrick Walker delivers the vocals with such crushing emotion that makes my toes curl.

We swing by my godparents place, and my older cousin starts talking music, I say something to the effect of, I don’t get how anyone can actually be interested in music it’s just so boring… Five minutes later in what can only be described as his dad‘s man cave, he commandeers the stereo, hooked up with way too many speakers, And simply says this will change your mind..and simply says this will change your mind. The opening riff kicks in, and to this day I get goosebumps whenever I hear it.There is so much music out there. Ann was pretty fucking hot too if you go back far enough before she let herself go. Not that it's her responsibility to stay slim and trim for my dumb ass but I'm just sayin' for me she was deffo the hotter one way back in the '70's when I was in high school. Beautiful face, amazing voice. Never really been bewitched with the blondes.

Yeah I first found out about them when Mustaine played their first album on his radio show and reckoned they were probably the best new band he'd heard. I don't know if that's true but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Of these 2 much talked about albums the Black Forest one is the better. That Coffins one is likeable just for their sheer tenacity at sticking with their sound over fuck knows how many albums it is now, but the BF one is a vibrant black metal release that goes straight for the jugular.

Opera by Fleshgod Apocalypse   Yeah, I don't know what possessed me either. I used to really like the song/video "The Violation" but never bought an album before. I thought this might broaden my horizons, although probably not in the right direction.     New Unraveling Truths in Profound Perception [EP] by HENOSIS   Hungarino pick. Listening right now. Solid. To be honest it will probably blend into the background a bit, but it sounds good and fairly intense.   Time by Mercyful Fate   Self-promise to pick up a MF or KD I've never heard every six months or so.    New Invitation to a Funeral by Victims of Classwar   @Hungarino pick. This is cool. Some of the more "out of the box" vocals are uncomfortable, but maybe that is the point.      Black Forest by Black Forest   GG AKA WN BM AOTY? Actually got this a few days ago and have listened to it often.       New Book of the Machines by Moose Cult Angry Metal Guy describes it as "disappointing" but that is because they are retarded. Not surprisingly, this is right up my alley. It takes a while to get going and the lyrics are pseudo-intellectual gibberish, but musically it hits the spot and production sounds great too.
