Been a fan of Helloween for a long time and that hasn't changed with the new album.

I like both bands, although I don't listen to much Metallica after the black album. I listen to Megadeth a lot more but again tend to ignore the later stuff a bit. Dystopia was a reasonable album but still not to the same level as those 80's and 90's albums. However I'm loosing interest in the new Megadeth album as the days go on, Dave has not released a great Megadeth album without Ellefson and I don't see that changing now.

Their first 3 albums I could listen to back to back, not so much the latest ones. Still they do put on a pretty good live show and I think they are suited to smaller venues.

Was a fan of their earlier stuff, especially Independent but the latest album wasn't what I expected, it was good but not great. I think I was hoping for more

Have been looking forward to the new EP for what seems forever. The new song sounded good but not sure about the cover song

Used love Metal Church back in the early days but not now days. Reverend and Wayne are so much better than current MC.

I know this is a bit of a thread necro but I love Alestorm. I don't care that people shit on them, they are fun, silly and don't take themselves too seriously.

I still have Ed Hunter on CD Rom, you're right it was bloody terrible. Maiden also have their Legacy of the Beast (I think it is) for phones which I haven't looked at since it was first released. Kiss also did a game called Psycho Circus, although they aren't really metal and there was all manner of pinball games that had metal bands as the themes but they were licensed probably not actually having the band work on them. There was also some very early games like Holy Diver that had metal references including using metal personalities as their characters but again not specific to a band.

Sadly enough my start in metal was from bands like Motley Crue. Hearing Too Fast For Love when it came out started the journey but I quickly jumped to harder stuff like Exodus and really didn't look back from there.

For me the stands out this year have been Flotsam & Jetsam - Blood In The Water Nekromantheon - The Visions of Trismegistos and Evile - Hell Unleashed. whether any or all become AOTY I don't know yet.
