my jams of the day. hope everyone had a nice and relaxing labor day

forlorn has my vote for the worst black metal band. talentless dimmu borgir wannabes. it also didn't help that this album was mixed horribly even for black metal. a cluttered clusterfuck of bad guitar riffs and cheesy keyboard melodies. i am not some elitist who hates symphonic black metal. i love symphonic black metal. gloomy grim, limbonic art, mystic circle, parnassus, hecate enthroned, obtained enslavement, alghazanth, emperor and early dimmu are my jams. i just only like good sympohonic black metal. forlorn is the opposite of good music in my opinion. "the crystal palace" is on youtube if you wanna know what i am talking about. but, i wouldn't recommend it. this was the only album of their's i heard. but at that point, i had heard enough. my ears still won't forgive me. those who like forlorn, to each their own and i respect your difference in opinion

that must be why they went with a different cover for the re-release. they probably got sued. damn. lol

aurora borealis demo

gates of ishtar's dawn of flames is a very underrated melodeath album in my opinion. lot of incredible tracks. my favorite songs off it are "perpetual dawn", "forever scarred" and "dreamfields" this is the cover to the 2017 re-release. i would've shown the original 1997 album art, but i recall the site guidelines forbid nudity

a lesser known greek black metal band. underrated. i highly recommend them for fans of groups like rotting christ and varathron

a great album to mellow out to. i consider it bedtime metal
