Hi, @AshKillem, your video is down but i remember a bit about your song for earlier (it was kinda melodeathy, right?). Were you after clean or screamed vocals? And do you have parts written or would you have the vocalist come up with something? I'm pretty busy for the next couple of days, but if you want I could probably come up with something with screams/growls over the weekend.

Hey sorry for the late reply man, been busy and mad. But yeah it's the more melodeathy one haha. I think.. Here it is just in case

Disordinance!
Like the story goes
It's all wrong again, the town fairs back in
Give me flight, sweet anesthesia
Wish they could keep me under
Cause I'm always going under
Spectacle and sick of your front row seats
Because it's just not right
And no! Don't YOU dare
Like a baby in a crib
Knowing nothing but a mother
But the tits running dry
And I still can't walk
But you! I point the finger
Outrageous drunken stares
How you take your notes, the most twisted of things
You don't think to care
Would you? Can you?
Let it settle let it be
It will mold with it's teachers
Learning nothing from any busybody bystander but bitterness and discontent
The crack in my world has grown larger
I wonder if my sight will be taken with it
Where devils dance in submersion of unnerving emotions
At least thats the picture they painted
And how would I know the difference
The dirts in the stain
And it's everywhere, ever corner
Disheartened noise of their native tounge
I hope I am concealed from further pains
But somethings brewing like a pregnant mother,
And I'm scared I may birth this child
Strange feeling when nothing feels real anymore
But I never see a thing, hear a word
Perpetual waiting game
Unknown future, unseen hand
I don't like how it's unfolding
But I don't know how else to be
I always fuck things up and I always will
Wish I could say different but understanding has come to pass
Inside me, abnormality
And there's something new
a subtle growth of darker things
I am disturbed
I'm Honest, don't know how to feel
This creates a shaking
So I hold on tight, making sure I don't lose the dearest part of me
The last piece that's left of me, the part that's still alive and feeling
Scared to death I'll loose that notch
And it keeps me from connection, because I won't be someone I'm not
And I'll fight to the death for it too
Does it matter to you?
How I feel? How I've been? Are there many like me?
Because I feel this all the time and seldom do they rescue
I know I'm supposed to be a man but I never learned and I'm not stronger
I don't know if it was my fault but my legs are broken and it's hard to stand
It starts again the bells chimes in
The crows caw and my hair is on end
Whole town gawking
Passed embarrassing, that was brutal
Shame is woven, thick as theives
Bothersome nuisance; annoying me
Whole other story I'd hate to read
Drowning
I can't disconect from this leech that keeps me from being noraml
I don't know how I dug this hole
Can I ever be apart of that world again or have I lost the missing piece?
I'm scared to be confident again, like I don't deserve it
Just another lie, they say they all come from devil
And that's not fair I never had a chance
Wish we'd just write him out of the story
One or two reasons more, mostly for freedom
Minds build some errie cages that's all
But I know I'm not this thing
Just held here by a demon
Like I can never reach out and show you who I really am
Like Cinderella didn't get the slippers
Oh what I would do to change this motion
My will doesn't seem to care so send me a wishing well
Would you? Cause I've been waiting
Waiting for someone like me, who will see the victim, I mostly am
So see me drowning wish to save me,
Don't hate me like they hate me
Most of them do most of the time
Its not all your fault when lonliness is your guide
But I'm still slipping further away
Is it inevitable this decent?
Blackholes don't let go and that scares me away, to thoughts of existing
Uncomfortable feelings, what I am, what makes me?
Seems like black nothing to me
Not like it appears no, less than
What we are, what this is?
I'll tell you and you'll sink
Waves in the sea ants on the mound
Nothing, no meaning.. purpose is MIA forever no dwelling
That doesn't scare me or beat me dead
Or leave me unsettled or messed up in the head..
Beautiful feeling escaping where I've been
Solace, like the morning
Like I was guilty on trial
The end

Sounds reeally nice, I actually like the sounds very much. I can imagine all recorded nice, would sound genius.

My only concern is the long lyrics, you should either make them shorter either make the song longer ❤️ i suggest the last as the music is amazing

Good luck mate

    • Whichever tier of thrash metal you consigned Sacred Reich back in the 80's/90's they still had their moments.  "Ignorance" & "Surf Nicaragura" did a great job of establishing the band, whereas "The American Way" just got a little to comfortable and accessible (the title track grates nowadays) for my ears.  A couple more records better left forgotten about and then nothing for twenty three years.  2019 alone has now seen three releases from Phil Rind and co.  A live EP, a split EP with Iron Reagan and now a full length.

Notable addition to the ranks for the current throng of releases is former Machine Head sticksman, Dave McClean.  Love or hate Machine Head, McClean is a more than capable drummer and his presence here is felt from the off with the opening and title track kicking things off with some real gusto.  'Divide & Conquer' and 'Salvation' muddle along nicely, never quite reaching any quality that would make my balls tingle but comfortable enough.  The looming build to 'Manifest Reality' delivers a real punch when the song starts proper.  Frenzied riffs and drums with shots of lead work to hold the interest.

There's a problem already though (I know, I am such a fucking mood hoover).  I don't like Phil's vocals.  I never had if I am being honest.  The aggression to them seems a little forced even when they are at their best on tracks like 'Manifest Reality'.  When he tries to sing it just feels weak though ('Salvation') and tracks lose real punch.  Give him a riffy number such as 'Killing Machine' and he is fine with the Reich engine (probably a poor choice of phrase) up in sixth gear.  For every thrashy riff there's a fair share of rock edged, local bar act rhythm aplenty too.

Let's not poo-poo proceedings though, because overall I actually enjoy "Awakening".  It is stacked full of catchy riffs that are sticky on the old ears.  Whilst not as raw as perhaps the - brilliant - artwork suggests with its black and white, tattoo flash sheet style design it is enjoyable enough.  Yes, 'Death Valley' & 'Something to Believe' have no place here, saved only by Arnett and Radziwill's lead work but 'Revolution' is a fucking 80's thrash heyday throwback to the extent that if you turn the TV on during it you might catch a new episode of Cheers!

    • Full length number 19 from overkill certainly makes a splash in the energy stakes, I mean there's some modern thrash bands that are a good two decades younger than Overkill who can only hope to achieve the levels of spunk that New Jersey's finest produce here.  That in itself is an achievement, for a band of Overkill's stature and reputation to be able to still sound relevant four decades into their career is no mean feat.  Even in the albums weaker moments it never gets redundant and the energy levels remain high.  There's a real sense of a band in a state of some renewed vigour, helped in no small part by the addition of Jason Bittner on drums.  The former Flotsam & Jetsam skinsman is nothing short of superb throughout "The Wings of War" and seems to have squeezed a little extra out of the rest of his peers.

The album kicks of with a great build to opening track "Last Man Standing" and for the first 4 tracks of the album the Overkill crew stomp, bash and groove their way to a solid level of consistency.  The lead work is of particular note and Blitz sounds as sneery and scathing as ever.  The album is well produced and mixed too with all parts of the thrash machine audible as the five piece hammer away at your skull with the usual blend of chugging riffs and infectious anthems.

There are weak moments as mentioned but they are more a victim of how good the strong tracks are.  In it's own right "Distortion" is a solid enough - if not slightly varied a journey from the last offering - but it just doesn't stand up well against a "Bat Shit Crazy" or a "Head of a Pin".  As the album draws to a close you get the increasing impression that the last few tracks are rescued really by some great solos and stomping skin work which is a shame because trimming of a couple of tracks may have made this less obvious.
